A few things in there that nobody tells you
- Miss your tunnel crossing by an hour and the ticket is void. No refund, no exchange. Miss your ferry at Dover and they put you on the next sailing for nothing
- Only two countries in Europe drop the speed limit automatically in the rain
- The busiest weekend of the summer is not the first one. The Port of Dover say so themselves.
- France stopped requiring breathalysers in 2020. Seven of the thirteen European driving kits I could check still contain one, and the AA's own page still says France requires it
